Carrom Company. Two examples of their Style H boards manufactured from 1902 to the mid-1930s. Model H-2" (top) 74 cm (29") diameter, with model H-3" with green felt in the ditch area (bottom). Red or brown felt versions were also Produced. A spectacular edition of the H-2" board made from chestnut exists. The "H-1" model was a larger (31" dia.) model and generally similar to the "H-2" pictured here; manufactured c.1902-1910, however it is considered a very rare board. Sears, Roebuck, & Company and Montgomery Ward were one of the largest US distributors of these model. A round version of the "H-2" was produced by the H. E. Hourd Dompany, London, ON, and manufactured as a round crokinole board. No known round Carrom boards were produced in the USA. The Carrom Model "E" also had the same stencil design on the playing surface, but that model was set up in a square format with a carrom game on the reverse side.
